How To Prepare - Older Baby Session

So your baby is no longer a newborn but do not fear.. it is never too late to capture beautiful images!
We will endeavour to capture your little ones unique personality and their ever changing features.
The best way to prepare for the session is to have a happy, fully fed baby that is comfortable and relaxed. The session will be baby led and we will be guided by your little one and what makes them happy.
I strongly encourage mum and dad to be part of these sessions. Your baby is most at ease with you and when they are not yet sitting, it makes it much easier to capture a variety of images.
Pack & Prep
Please prepare by making sure that your baby is bathed and fed prior to arriving at the studio. Avoid any social gatherings or appointments on the day of your session.
Be prepared to feed during the session if needed, this may mean bringing an extra bottle even if you think you may not need it!
Pack your little ones favourite toy or soother/blanky and it is very important to bring a dummy if it is ever used to help your baby settle.
Be prepared to be in some of the photos
Please bring along anything that you would like to have photographed during your session, a family heirloom, favourite teddy or wrap, pack an outfit if you wish but we do have some simple knitted outfits that photograph beautifully. No tight socks or singlets to avoid lines on their skin.
It is important that you arrive on time. If you are running late PLEASE text me to let me know asap (0410415691) Note: your session may be cut short if it overlaps with our next booking.
Siblings
Getting great sibling images often depends on ages & temperament of young children. We will do our best to get the perfect sibling photo but please understand that working with toddlers doesn't always go to plan!
Bribery is often helpful when it comes to getting siblings to cooperate! Be sure to bring along something to offer your older child at the end of the session. Don’t give the bribery prior to the photos being complete… that never works!
Remember to pack drink containers and snacks for the older children.
Family Images
We strongly suggest that you come prepared for photos. We love white/neutral tones as they fit with our style and photograph beautifully but of cause if white is not your thing then you can wear whatever you feel comfortable in, just be sure that you keep logos and patterns to a minimum and try to have a colour theme that works nicely together. We do have a few items in our client wardrobe.
You can also view our recent work in our family and milestone galleries under the portfolio tab.
